Care Instructions

Heavyweight fabric holds its shape longer — if you treat it right. Here's how to wash, dry, and store your FLVUNT pieces.

Last updated: 30 July 2026

FLVUNT hoodies and tees are made from heavyweight cotton, built to hold shape and colour far longer than a standard lightweight piece — but only with the right wash routine.

Washing

  • Turn the garment inside-out before washing to protect prints and embroidery.
  • Wash cold (30°C or below) on a gentle cycle.
  • Wash dark and light colourways separately for the first few washes.
  • Skip fabric softener — it breaks down heavyweight cotton's structure over time.

Drying

Air dry flat where possible to keep the boxy, oversized shape true. If you use a dryer, tumble dry on low heat only — high heat is the fastest way to shrink heavyweight cotton and crack printed graphics.

Ironing & steaming

Iron inside-out on a medium setting if needed, avoiding direct heat on printed or embroidered areas. A steamer is the safer option for removing wrinkles without risking the print.

Prints & embroidery

Always wash and dry prints and embroidery inside-out, avoid direct ironing over graphics, and skip the dry cleaner's steam press unless a placement is heat-safe — when in doubt, air dry.

Storage

Fold heavyweight hoodies rather than hanging them long-term — the weight of the fabric can stretch the shoulders out of shape on a hanger over time. Store somewhere dry to avoid mildew on heavier fabric.
